OBJECTIVE:

Our workshops are a valuable and beneficial resource for beginning and established actors, with vital and practical information every actor needs to know from the perspective of a Casting Director.

This workshop will begin with a brief synopsis of Wendy McKenzie’s resume and practice as a Casting Director based in New York City.

Actors will participate in practical exercises and a Q&A session directed by Ms. McKenzie to begin to evaluate each actor’s skill level.

A critique followed by constructive direction will be provided to enhance each actor’s individual skill set. Focus will be based upon each actor’s individual needs to be able to showcase their best work during the audition
evaluation portion of the Workshop.

Each student will be provided specific sides to perform on-camera. The on-camera exercise will teach the actor how to appear more convincingly on-screen.

Each actor will be filmed during the mock audition. Their scenes will be critiqued to provide a further understanding of the actor’s strengths and weaknesses.

Other topics that will be covered are: How to Slate to Captivate, Scene Study, Character Depth, How to Promote yourself and gain a competitive advantage in the industry, and more.

The Workshop will conclude with a Q&A session to further discuss efficacy of the practice. Remember...

"Its not about how much you study... Its about how much you learn".
